BREVE STORIA DELLA RCF
La compagnia RCF nasce nel 1949 come ditta produttrice di microfoni, amplificatori e trasduttori elettroacustici (altoparlanti); questi ultimi venivano poi installati da altre aziende produttrici di sistemi di rinforzo sonoro nelle proprie casse acustiche. Dopo gli anni ’60 la RCF produce e distribuisce altoparlanti a tromba per public address, mentre a partire dagli anni ’70 installa i propri altoparlanti in casse acustiche di propria produzione. Nel 1996 la ditta introduce nel mercato italiano la serie ART, composta da diffusori acustici con amplificatore incorporato nella cassa, divenendo tra i pochi produttori a livello globale di diffusori attivi.Nel 2004 viene introdotta la serie High Definition – Touring and Theatre, equipaggiata con DSP. Recentemente è stata sviluppata la tecnologia RD Net, sistema per il controllo remoto in rete degli altoparlanti facenti parte di un sistema di rinforzo sonoro per grandi eventi e grandi installazioni. Dal 2017 tutti gli altoparlanti attivi con DSP incorporano la tecnologia FiRPHASE, che permette di ottenere una riproduzione lineare con fase a 0°, posizionandosi come il primo marchio al mondo ad avere un catalogo completo di diffusiori pienamente compatibili in fase.(da Wikipedia)
RCF SHORT HISTORY
RCF was founded in 1949 as a manufacturer of microphones, amplifiers and electro-acoustic transducers (loudspeakers); these latters were then installed by other manufacturers of sound reinforcement systems in their own speakers. After the ’60s, RCF produces and distributes horn loudspeakers for public addresses, while, starting from the ’70s, they install their acoustic transducers in loudspeakers of own production. In 1996, the company introduced the ART series to the Italian market, consisting of acoustic transducers with an amplifier built into the cabinet, becoming one of the few global producers of active loudspeakers. In 2004, the High Definition – Touring and Theater series was introduced, equipped with DSP. RD Net technology has recently been developed, a system for remote control over the network of loudspeakers that are part of a sound reinforcement system for large events and large installations. Since 2017 all active speakers with DSP have incorporated FiRPHASE technology, which allows for linear reproduction with phase at 0°, positioning itself as the first brand in the world to have a complete catalog of fully phase compatible speakers (from Wikipedia)

The tweeter is filled with a new thermal protection system with automatic reset which replaces the normal fuse protection system, usually used. The new type of protection intervenes in case of overload, with easily heard sound attenuation. Protection resets automatically, as soon as overload has been removed.

Il tweeter è dotato di un sistema di protezione termica a ripristino automatico, in sostituzione dell’usuale protezione con fusibile. In caso di sovraccarico esso interviene, con attenuazione del livello sonoro del tweeter. Il ripristino è automatico, non appena sia stata rimossa la causa.
